"I'm not gonna agree or disagree Phelan, but it does seem to have gotten her talking", he paused and looked her over (SM 27) "I think you might have talked, too easily now though. You keep reaching for your weapons and keep trying to dodge us"
He slapped the head of his mace on his palm again. (Intim 6)
"Still ain't answered who the fuck Mathriss is yet either. I'm trying to be nice, my friend is getting upset, you can be on your way if you stop making things up", Jacob made sure to keep himself positioned to box the woman between himself and Phelan if need came.
"Your meeting is apparently quite urgent, but you'll probably be incredibly late if you're in a jail cell. And I do believe assaulting a guard is enough for several nights stay",(dip 25) with the last statement Jacob gave Phelan a look and a wink that meant if they had to, they would goad her into attacking. She was too suspicious to let be on her way. Especially being magical, with decent weapons, to be asleep in an alley and not a cheap Inn.

Finding that both of the guards flanking her now, had begun to lose their patience, the scale-skinned woman grimaced - visibly frustrated by the whole affair and let loose some highly specific Kelishite turns of phrase roughly parsing out to - 'fuck you, but fine.' She brushed herself down some more, adjusted her still quite obviously stinging shoulder, and and sighed. "Mathriss is my ca-ehm-boss, big fucking Ifrit - all business. Couldn't miss him anywhere but in a firestorm... doesn't like guards disrupting his interests." leveling a finger at both Phelan and Jacob.
Phelan visibly bristled at this - more weird exotic races. Not his comfort zone.
"Apparently, we got a 'business meeting' at some damn brothel of all places - Gozreh only knows why - fuckers got a wife back home by Tidetaker's sake." Eyes and shoulders rolling at this particular statement, it rings with truth. As does her exasperation about the whole thing. Casting a glance back over Jacobs shoulder, visibly anxious to get going, she continues. "Look, sorry about all before - I'm just antsy. I'm new here and don't like it very much... I'm used to sand and marble not wood and stone." A very forced smile, but the first kind one she's given. (Dip 14)
"Magic's just part of a contract, long standing business arrangement... some sort of ward, I don't know, I'm no sorceress." Hands held up in defeat, taping her foot as the crowd continues to look on. "Can I... please just go now? No more troubles, honest!"
The strange lady was clearly most worried about the concept of missing her meeting - jail or no jail. It mattered to her. While to Phelan - all that mattered was getting out all this pent up aggression he'd been working up since the lady first kicked at his heels from under the blanket. "Come on girly, so quick to swallow your pride? Wonder how fast you'd swallow my cock." (Intim 19)
Yep, yep... Phelan was absolutely, 100% on-board with the whole 'starting a fight' plan. It was practically his favorite.
The scaley-skinned woman flushed a very angry shade. Not even sparing Phelan the words, "Let me go." She had rapidly lost her compromising tone afer a statement like that.

'Oh fuck no', Jacob thought to himself as everything happened.
"Thank you for finally coming clean ma'am. Honesty is all we asked for"
"Phelan I swear to all of the fucking God's above. I will club you with all of my might, and probably burn down the whorehouse you favor so much. Stand down and lets GO to that whorehouse." (Dip 18)
As Jacob made his ultimatum he stepped between Phelan and the woman, facing his friend instead of her, mace at the ready. If Phelan swung on the woman Jacob would place himself, hopefully blocking with his mace, between the blow and the woman. If Phelan seems determined to continue fighting her, he will strike back at his friend. Racism and anger be damned, she had complied with justice and striking someone unlawfully, was not justice.
