Dock Peeps:
-Scion Lord Goodman Hugen: Leader of House Candren, a powerful shipping family, in Absalom. He is a member of the Grand Council of the whole cite, First Harbormaster, and the proprietor of the Sea King Shipyard. He's rarely seen in the docks, as most of the day to day running is conducted by his wife.
-Goodmiss Alidane of House Candren: Manager of the Sea King Shipyard. A member of the Docks Council and a patriotic Andoran, in a heated rivalry with Archych of House Dureanz, often using shiphands as soldiers against him. She's a tall lanky human woman in her thirties with knitted brown hair and bronzed skin.
-Lord Archych of House Dureanz: Owner of the Devil's Own shipyard, a loyal Chelaxian he employs the worst thugs and pushes around his considerable weight at every opportunity. His ongoing rivalry with Goodmiss Alidane is responsible for most of the large scale violence that occurs in the district. A pale emaciated human man with a single cut of blond hair down the center of his head and a thin beard.
-Ptarnex Dexarion: The Second Harbormaster of Absalom and owner of the Ogrekin transporting business in the Docks district. He is also the owner of the Red Drake Warehouses. A stout middle aged human male with a penchant for whoring - beloved by the teamsters of the Docks for helping them 'unionize'.
-Dorem "Gills" Anticawe: The owner and proprietor of The Grog Pit, this surprisingly vitriolic halfling has his hand in many pies - criminal and otherwise - but is tolerated by the guard for his capacity to keep some of the worst cutthroats in check. Old for a halfling and completely bald, his monicker comes for the dreadful scars that line his neck from a failed necktie.
-Madame Gardener: The effusively polite dwarf woman that runs the streetwalkers and illegal prostitutes of the docks - she operates out of the "Seed Bed". A recent addition to dock politics, she orchestrated an elaborate takeover of the many small illegal brothels that operated in the district by encouraging the girls to remove the pimps when they were most... vulnerable. She put former prostitutes in charge of all the brothels and generally cleaned up the standards - pissing off many established crime lords and dockworkers who suddenly have to pay a little more for their pleasure.
-Guaril Karela: A human male with a bit of fetchling blood, he runs the pickled imp - a magical item and curio shop on the docks. A lot of rumors circulate around the man with his piercing green eyes and handlebar mustache/goatee combo and many note that he is treated far too well for his supposed station by the various criminals that operate in the docks.
-Adrielle Neprathep of House Fyrlenn: An unofficial Baroness of the Docks, Adrielle is THE BEAST'S chief engineer and operator - THE BEAST being the largest crane in the world. An Oread woman with a fiery temperament for her kind, she possesses a deep green hue and is known to employ her immensely strong crew for uses beyond the operation of THE BEAST.
-Captain Gurillip Norden: The broad shouldered and barrel chested human male that leads the Harbor Guard. He spends little time in his office, preferring to deal personally with the various warehouses, shipyards, and shipping companies that operate in the docks. While there is no evidence that is particularly corrupt, it is well known that he cares little for the common folk of the dock - focusing his efforts towards supporting the trade and business interests that keep the city alive.
-"Fisher" Ollen: The half-orc second in command of the Harbor Guard. A truly nasty woman with a penchant for violence, she deals with the criminals of the docks regularly. She's tolerated as a necessary evil by most - as many consider it easier and more cost efficient to work with the criminals than it is to try and fight them. She stands over seven feet and has tastefully removed the sleeves from her uniform to show off THE GUNS.
-Tillrik Brane: A strange, older, half-elf with a bookish demeanor and gnarled hands who has managed to find a truly ingenious method of funding a charity in the docks. One of the few that ended up working. He runs the only working orphanage in the docks, which he has built conveniently on the top of "The Crooked Hook" tavern - which he also runs. The orphans he keeps 'pay their rent' by helping operate the tavern - making food, serving customers, or just keeping it clean and running for supplies. A competent wizard and teacher - Tillrik also provides his orphans one of the better educations available in the docks.
-Chula Plinket: An ever-grinning gnome woman who runs "The Paper Warehouse"; dedicated to the receiving and shippings of books, scrolls and minor magical items. Ever enterprising, she also runs it as a library - allowing visitors to peruse the current collection of texts that have not yet been shipped off to find their destined homes. She happily takes 'donations' for this charitable effort.

Appearance: 5'7" 150 lbs. Short cropped black hair. Partially scarred fight from getting in numerous brawls. Face has all over stubble, regardless of how recently he has shaved. His features are softening already, despite his relatively young age. His face is roughly square shaped. Barrel chested, square shouldered. Everything about Jacob's features are square and stocky.
History: - Parents both worked near the docks. Mom was a Tavern Maid, Dad was a Dock worker. Borned and raised in the western portion of The Docks. Still lives there, near The Puddles and Foreign Quarter.
- Raised by the nicer guards. Parents both constantly busy or asleep at home.
- Gets caught stealing bread around 8 or 9 years old. Beaten and scolded severely by guards and both parents. Lesson learned that the law stands above personal desires.
- Befriends other dock urchins at shitty school. A couple of them are actual orphans. They also determine to join the Guard alongside Jacob.
- On multiple occasions the guards mention to Jacob that he has a knack for figuring things out, and should try learning more about guard work than just basic literacy and how to yell at people. He takes them up and pokes around the churches to see which one can help him learn the most about justice. He eventually finds Damerrich and while talking to the priests discovered the existence of 'Inquisitors'. He vows to become one if he ever truly finds a cause that requires divine assistance.
- Continues learning to read and write. Learns of Damerrich and the law. Devotes himself to furthering Law and Order above 'good' and 'evil'.
- Slightly older orphan(Phelan) who had been in the urchin school with Jacob joins the church school as well.
- Due to Jacob's drive and Phelan giving up on becoming any kind of religious warrior, they both join the Dock Guard at the same time.
- They get assigned to separate patrols, with a veteran guard to watch over them until they get more experience.
- Jacob is roughly 17 when a commotion is heard down the street at the Tavern across the street from where Jacob's mother works. A pedestrian flags down Jacob's Superior and tells them the commotion is from a pair of Elves about to brawl with a few drunken dock hands. Phelan and his Superior were on their way back to the barracks and responded to the commotion as well. Both Elves were mages. A table is already on fire and one dockhand is on the ground dead. The veterans tell Phelan and Jacob to wait outside and draw their swords. They of course ignored them and went inside behind the vets. Both mages shouted at the guards that they would not go to jail for defending themselves. They knew racism and prejudice would see them both hang for what was purely self defense. The guards attempted to talk them down and failed. Both mages cast the biggest spell they could and managed to incinerate: themselves, half the bar, and both of the experienced guards. Jacob's supervisor threw himself ontop of Jacob and completely protected Jacob from harm. Phelan managed to get burned on a fair portion of his left arm and face.
- Jacob dedicated himself to hating magic from that point onward. He was already against corruption and lawbreaking, but a childhood friend being injured and a pair of respected superiors dying, slightly broke his previously level stance.
- Jacob eventually calmed down and became more level-headed. Took up knitting to calm his nerves. Continually donates the larger blankets he makes to local orphanages. Makes scarves for fellow guards and other various tidbits for unlucky folk in The Puddles. Cracks down slightly harder than necessary on non-humans and anybody who is a known mage. Despises other guards who willingly accept bribes to look the other way for organized crime. Phelan is more racist than Jacob, but still behaves relatively the same and holds more or less the same justice code.
- Jacob now regularly patrols with Phelan, near The Puddles. Occasionally they meander around the docks. If not everyday, at least once a week, they make sure to stop at The Liquored Longshoreman, to say hello to Mrs. Tahlbert, and usually get a free drink.
Summary of Parents. Mrs.Tahlbert(name to be decided) : Speaks Taldane, Kelish, Osiriani, scraps of Varisian, and can recognize swear words in Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Halfling, Goblin, and Orc. She is a slightly heavyset woman. Completely unkempty midback length hair. Always wrapped in some kind of bun behind her head. Clothing is the usual tavern wench fare, massive cleavage gap. Bright blue eyes, with a fire behind them. Her eyes are what drew in Mr. Tahlbert in the first place. (5' 4", about 165 lbs, now about 45)
Mr. Tahlbert : Speaks Taldane and very few phrases in Kelish. Understands swearwords in Varisian and Osiriani from listening to his wife when she works. Tall, broad shouldered. Face cut from stone. Dark brown eyes. Shoulder length black hair, tied into a pony tail usually. Arms as thick as tree trunks and legs to match. A man devoted to honesty. And picking things up and putting things down. Works for Ptarnex, and willfully ignores his employers marital indiscretions as being a simple shortcoming of an otherwise relatively reliable man. (6'1" about 220 lbs, roughly 50)
Tavern's Name is The Liquored Longshoreman. Owned by a retired dockhand. Partially injured hand due to dock accident. Everything else about the dockhand is upto sam.

Known Associates
Ptarnex - Known through his father.
Both guard captains - Does not particularly like either of them.
'Gills' - Has been to his bar on several occasions. Does not particularly like him, but the particularly vile criminals that end up on Gills' badside tend to dissapear. Jacob dislikes circumventing proper justiciary procedures but will ignore them for the sake of not dying in an alleyway.
Tillrik Brane - Dislikes teaching magic and elves. But appreciates helping orphans, so is willing to ignore two hatreds in exchange for several childhood friends having been orphans. Jacob regularly stops by to make sure Tillrik has enough blankets for the children.
Phelan Franc - Childhood friend. Burn victim. Fellow guard. Jacob tolerates his vitriolic nature for the sake of their friendship.

you don't have to upload an update for every little modifier. I only really need the new sheet every level - just keep track of the temporary modifiers for yourself.
but thanks for the consideration
